Dr. McCay is a well-respected academic leader with a deep understanding of higher education and a proven track record of success in university administration. Prior to joining AUV, Dr. McCay was the president of the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). During Dr. McCay’s time at FIT, he oversaw significant growth in enrollment, research funding, and fundraising. He also held leadership positions at The University of Tennessee Space Institute, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, and Air Force Rocket Propulsion Laboratory. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors and a member of the Florida Inventors Hall of Fame.
His passion for international education and commitment to academic excellence are great assets to the institution of AUV. According to Dr. McCay, he is “committed to providing AUV students with a world-class education that prepares them for success in the global economy.”
